Refurbishments are a part of life at Walt Disney World Resort. These may take place for various reasons. Whether it be for mechanical issues or cosmetic updates, a refurbishment can take place for many reasons.

Refurbishments can occur at attractions, resorts, restaurants, and even recreational activities.

Unfortunately, these are needed to keep Walt Disney World Resort in its best possible shape to avoid malfunctions and breakdowns. Sometimes they last only a few days or weeks, while others may extend for months and even over a year.

Refurbishment At Coronado Springs

Disney has shared that an upcoming refurbishment will be coming to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. This refurbishment will take place in the Convention Center of the resort.

The Convention Center at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort will be undergoing a lengthy refurbishment.

The refurbishment is set to begin on August 10, 2026 and last through late September 2027. No details have been shared regarding what the refurbishment will entail.

What Does This Mean For You?

This refurbishment work will happen in phases. This means that individual spaces will be closed while work is being completed versus the entire Convention Center being closed for the refurbishment.
