Surprising Warning Issued for Magic Kingdom Coffee Drinkers

If you run on pixie dust and caffeine while at Walt Disney World, you will want to be aware of this new warning.

Some Walt Disney World goers find that they need a bit of a pick-me-up to adequately prepare for a day at the parks. If you are like many Guests, you appreciate being able to grab a good cup of coffee. For that matter, a mediocre cup of coffee will probably do!

There is a Starbucks in every single Walt Disney World theme park, with great options at Disney Springs as well.

Alternatively, all of the parks and many of the resorts also offer Joffrey's coffee and tea. It is also provided in hotel rooms and served in restaurants. So, there are several options.

Disney Park Wildlife

While the Disney Parks do work diligently to create an ideal park experience for Guests, the unexpected still happens. For example, Disney cannot prevent small squirrels from raiding unsupervised strollers filled with snacks.

Disney also finds it difficult to control bees throughout the Parks. One thing that sets Disney Parks apart from the rest is the beautiful attention to landscaping.

Those vibrant florals, however, offer an invitation to bees to enjoy a magical day at the Disney Parks.

Joffrey's Coffee Warning

At Magic Kingdom, the Joffrey's Revive stand (near the entrance to Tomorrowland) now posts a warning, "Bee-Ware: Syrups and sauces are temporarily unavailable to reduce the attraction of bees to this location."

Joeffrey's Revive stand at Magic Kingdom now offers a limited menu.

The removal of these sweeteners has also limited their menu. Only the following items are available at the Joeffrey's Revive stand:

• Drip coffee
• Latte
• Cappuccino
• Cold Brew

Beekeepers share that this time in the summer is a time of "nectar dearth" when the flowers no longer produce floral nectar. This causes honey bees to seek sustenance elsewhere. It appears this was the case at Joffrey's Revive at Magic Kingdom.

Guests may still enjoy full coffee menu options at indoor locations such as Starbucks. It is unclear if other Joffrey's locations are limiting their menu at this time.

This does affect Walt Disney World Annual Passholders trying to receive a stamp at all 5 Joffrey's locations to receive their free Annual Passholder monorail coffee sleeve. Disney has not provided an alternative with this new warning in place.
