Disney Warns Guests with Upcoming Yacht Club Reservations

Guests paying for Disney Deluxe Resort pricing are pretty disappointed by this news. Would you make changes to your resort reservations because of this?

When it was first announced that Disney's Yacht & Beach Club resorts would be undergoing refurbishment, it was only expected to take several months for each. Last August, Disney shared that the refurbishment would be extended.

Multiple parts of the Yacht & Beach Club refurbishment have been extended. Both resorts will be undergoing routine exterior maintenance.

While the refurbishment occurs, each resort's porte cochere will be closed. However, all services, including valet, luggage assistance, and transportation, will remain available.

Disney's Yacht Club Warning

Disney notifies Guests on the Walt Disney World website that "Disney's Yacht Club Resort is undergoing exterior maintenance through late 2026."

"This will impact views from various locations throughout the Resort hotel and, at times, require alternate paths of travel. Guests may see or hear work in the area during daytime hours until the refurbishment is complete."

Guests visiting Disney's Yacht Club this week share that entrance into the main resort lobby is now completely blocked by construction walls.

Guests hoping to enter the Yacht Club lobby now must follow the directional arrow signs and walk around the side of the resort. This affects Guests checking into the Resort and leads them on what many describe as a "wild goose chase" simply to check into their resort.

This is a BIG inconvenience for Guests, especially when considering the high deluxe price tag.

Guests share photos from their Disney's Yacht Club Resort rooms with obstructed views and even "unpleasant smells". We hope that the refurbishment will wrap up later this year, but for now, beware if you have plans to stay at Disney's Yacht Club Resort.
