An Update on the Closure at Disney Cruise Line's Castaway Cay
We have news for you if you have been following along with the closure at Disney's Castaway Cay. And we are happy to report that the news is GOOD.
Disney's Castaway Cay

Part of the appeal of Disney Cruise Line is the potential to see one of its private Destinations. The private escapes are often part of itineraries that include the Bahamas, Bermuda, or the Caribbean.
Castaway Cay and Lighthouse Point both offer gorgeous beach days for guests. You can read a comparison of the two HERE.
Recently, some cruises received disappointing news. Disney announced a refurbishment for Castaway Cay.
Castaway Cay Refurbishment

Unfortunately, guests on recent Disney Cruise Line Sailings that included Castaway Cay experienced a bit of disappointment. Pelican Plunge closed for necessary refurbishment. This will keep the structure fun and safe for everyone.
Pelican Plunge is Castaway Cay's water playground. Guests of all ages can enjoy the structure as they ride one of 2 twisting waterslides into a crystal-clear lagoon.
This closure likely had little to no impact on cruisers who prefer port adventures or adult-only activities. However, for some, this type of news can be disappointing. That is why we are happy to have good news to report.

Pelican Plunge at Disney's Castaway Cay has officially reopened! Guests can freely enjoy the water play area again if they wish.
Pelican Plunge at Disney's Castaway Cay is up and running again.
