Over 20 Attractions Closed at Disney World

Popular Disney World Attractions
If you are planning a Disney trip (or you've been on one before), you probably have heard the term headliner attraction. Essentially, these are the most popular attractions that have long waits all day long.
At the Magic Kingdom, headliners include Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Jungle Cruise, and Space Mountain. Epcot's headliners include Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, and Frozen Ever After.
Over at Animal Kingdom, Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey are the two attractions guests love the most. Arguably, Hollywood Studios has the most headliners in any park: Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog Dash, and Tower of Terror.
20 Attractions Closed
Unexpectedly, 20 attractions are now closed at Walt Disney World. At Magic Kingdom, the following attractions are closed: Barnstormer, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, Walt Disney World Railroad, both at Fantasyland & Main Street USA, Space Mountain
Over at EPCOT, the following attractions are closed: Frozen ever After, Gran Fiesta Tour, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Journey of Water, Spaceship Earth, Test Track
At Disney's Animal Kingdom Guests are unable to enjoy the following attractions: Maharajah Jungle Trek, Kali River Rapids, Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail, Expedition Everest
Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Slinky Dog Dash, Rise of the Resistance, and Vacation Fun are all closed.
At Disney Springs, the Aerophile is also closed to Guests.
Reason for Attractions Closed
Many guests are well aware that the summers at Walt Disney World can be hot. Yesterday, the National Weather Service issued a Heat Advisory for all East Central Florida counties, which includes the Walt Disney World Resort.
Severe thunderstorms closed 20 attractions throughout Walt Disney World today.
Along with this heat, Guests are also affected by severe thunderstorms that appear to have closed these 20 attractions. Guests were evacuated at both Disney's Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom last night due to severe thunderstorms.
We hope that these attractions will safely reopen quickly for guests.
