Fire Alarm Evacuation at the Magic Kingdom

As Walt Disney World prepares for a busy holiday week, several locations were affected by evacuations. See what Guests experienced at the most recent incident at the Magic Kingdom.

This year is the 250th anniversary of America! And Walt Disney World is in on the celebration!

Disney has already rolled out special offerings to celebrate this momentous 4th of July. For example, Soarin' Around the World has a special Soarin' Across America overlay.

Guests can enjoy special treats as the Disney Parks prepare for record breaking crowds.

The Beak and Barrel Evacuation

Earlier, we shared that Tiffins was evacuated last night at Disney's Animal Kingdom. A Kenny the Pirate Crew Member shared that their family was also evacuated at the Magic Kingdom last evening.

A fire alarm began going off at Magic Kingdom's newest lounge, The Beak and Barrel, last night. This Crew Member shared that a reported lightning strike caused the fire alarm to go off.

All Guests visiting The Beak and Barrel were escorted outside. Due to a large thunderstorm, Guests packed in tightly to enjoy shelter in front of the entrance.

Although these evacuations were an inconvenience to Guests, we are thankful that Disney Cast Members act quickly to keep everyone safe.

A fire alarm led to Guests being evacuated from The Beak and Barrel on June 29, 2026.

Disney trains Cast Members in the "5 Keys," which help to provide the highest quality of hospitality to all guests. These include Safety, Courtesy, Inclusion, Show, and Efficiency. Safety is listed first and is vitally important to provide safety for all guests and fellow Cast Members.
