Guests at Disney's Wilderness Lodge endured a less-than-magical couple of days as the air conditioning was not functioning during a heat advisory. Do you think Disney did enough to compensate Guests?

This week has been a warm one at Walt Disney World. This may be why summer is the cheapest time to visit Walt Disney World.
For 2 consecutive days this week, the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory affecting Walt Disney World.
That being said, this may be the worst time to learn that your Walt Disney World Resort is suffering from an air conditioning outage.
Wilderness Lodge AC Update

Starting on the afternoon of Thursday, June 18, 2026, Wilderness Lodge Guests began to share on social media that the air conditioning was out in the dining locations, common areas, and even resort rooms.
This continued throughout Friday, June 19, 2026. Thankfully, we now hear reports from Disney Guests that the air conditioning is now working at Disney's Wilderness Lodge on Saturday, 20, 2026.
After being offline for over a day, it will take time for the entire resort to cool down. At this time, Whispering Canyon Cafe and Storybook Dining are still unavailable.
Disney World Compensation

The question many Disney fans had was what Walt Disney World offered to Guests affected. According to Guests, Cast Members offered complimentary water bottles, sodas, and Mickey Mouse ice cream bars.
Disney Guests report that air conditioning is now working at Disney's Wilderness Lodge on Saturday, 20, 2026.
If requested, Cast Members provided box fans for Guests to use in their rooms. Many Guests reported that they were offered one free night for free. Others accepted the offer to transfer to Disney's Art of Animation or Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. This was based upon availablity at these resorts.

I could not survive in that heat without a/c and they could not do enough to compensate me.
I would be fine with most things but would definitely have to move as I get nauseous in that heat and to try to sleep with no a/c would not work.
But, if you are someone who doesn’t mind the heat I would understand these things happen.
