Live-action movie remakes of Disney classics may be divisive, but they have the potential to be big money earners. For example, the live-action Lilo and Stitch crossed the $1 billion mark.

But what separates hits like the live-action Lilo and Stitch and flops like the live-action Snow White? Fans seem to be showing preferences for films that stick closer to the animated stories that bring about nostalgia for them.

So, when the live-action Tangled movie was announced, Tangled fans were all but begging Disney not to mess this one up. And, it seems like Disney's vision aligns with what fans want this time.

Disney has already announced who will play several of the leads. And so far, fans have responded favorably.

Australian actress Teagan Croft will play Rapunzel. Milo Manheim, who you may know from Zombies, will play Flynn Rider!

Many fans are also hoping that Mandy Moore, who voiced Rapunzel in the animated features, will appear as Rapunzel's mother. We don't know whether that dream will come true just yet, but Disney did drop some news about Rapunzel's other mother today!

Disney said, "You want her to be the bad guy? FINE. Kathryn Hahn is Mother Gothel in Disney's live-action Tangled." It is certainly going over well in the comment section.
