Disney World Breaks Extended Evening Hours Trend

Extended Evening Hours
Guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts can experience the parks at night after everyone else has left. This is one of the many great benefits of staying at these high-tier resorts.
Typically, Epcot hosts Extended Evening Hours on Monday, and Magic Kingdom hosts Extended Evening Hours on Wednesday. This has been the case for the last few years, with a few exceptions.
Last summer, this schedule shifted quite a bit, changing Extended Evening Hours that were typically offered at Magic Kingdom to Disney's Animal Kingdom for several dates due to the new "Disney Starlight" parade.
Extended Evening Hour Changes
Another shift for Extended Evening Hours occurred last August and well into December, Extended Evening Hours shifted from the Magic Kingdom due to special ticketed events. These include Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
As the special event parties ended, Extended Evening Hours return to Magic Kingdom on Wednesdays.
Beginning in 2026, all 4 Theme Parks offered Extended Evening Hours. This soon shifted back to being offered at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom.
Unpopular Extended Evening Hours Change
Extended Evening Hours will return to Disney's Animal Kingdom on Monday, May 4, 2026 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm (Park hours subject to change). This shifts away from the trend of Extended Evening Hours offered at EPCOT on Mondays.

While we do love extra time to enjoy Disney's Animal Kingdom, this park offers fewer attractions for Extended Evening Hours compared to Magic Kingdom.

Enjoy the site. I would like to see AK open at night more. While I love Epcot, they are already open basically until 10pm with Fireworks being late every night. The only think extending Epcot to a later hours does it cause more people to hang around and drink, not needed.
Thanks and I agree James! It should definitely be open until 8pm in Spring and Summer to enjoy the beauty of the park after dark. Most guests don't know how amazing Avatar is after dark.
