Disney World Breaks Trend with Extended Evening Hours

Guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts can experience the parks at night after everyone else has left. This is one of the many great benefits of staying at these high-tier resorts.

Typically, Epcot hosts Extended Evening Hours on Monday, and Magic Kingdom hosts Extended Evening Hours on Wednesday. This has been the case for the last few years, with a few exceptions.

This summer, this schedule shifted quite a bit, changing Extended Evening Hours that were typically offered at Magic Kingdom to Disney's Animal Kingdom for several dates due to the new "Disney Starlight" parade.

Extended Evening Hour Changes

Heading into August and well into December, Extended Evening Hours shifted from the Magic Kingdom due to special ticketed events. These include Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

As Disney fans ring in the New Year, Extended Evening Hours return to Magic Kingdom on Wednesdays.

This change begins Wednesday, January 7, 2026, with Extended Evening Hours offered from 9:00 pm until 11:00 pm (Park hours subject to change). The trend continues for January 14th and 21st as well.

Hollywood Studios Extended Evening Hours

Now, as we look ahead to 2026, we see a surprising change on Monday, January 26, 2026. Instead of Extended Evening Hours being offered at EPCOT, they will be offered at Disney's Hollywood Studios from 9:00 pm until 11:00 pm (Park hours subject to change).

Starting in 2026, all 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks will offer Extended Evening Hours
