Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park Gets Reopening Date; Typhoon Lagoon to Close
Disney has announced the reopening date for Blizzard Beach and when Typhoon Lagoon will close for its annual refurbishment. Get the details!
Water Park Refurbishments

During the winter months, each water park closes for an annual refurbishment. One water park will remain open for Guests' enjoyment while the other water park receives its refurbishment. Typically when the first water park reopens from its annual refurbishment, the second park closes for its annual refurbishment.
Blizzard Beach closed for its annual refurbishment on September 8, 2025.
During Blizzard Beach's closure, Guests are still able to enjoy Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park.
Typhoon Lagoon To Close For Refurbishment

Disney has just announced that Typhoon Lagoon will soon close for its annual refurbishment. With this closure, Disney will reopen Blizzard Beach.
Typhoon Lagoon will close for refurbishment on February 15th.
The last day for Guests to enjoy Typhoon Lagoon before the annual closure is February 14th. Blizzard Beach will reopen from its annual refurbishment on February 15th.
Both Parks Open This Summer

Disney will once again have both water parks open for the summer. Typhoon Lagoon will reopen on May 12th!
Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will both be open beginning May 12 and continuing throughout the summer.
Although both water parks will open May 12, the FREE water park entry on your Disney Resort check-in day won't begin until May 26. The free water park entry benefit runs from May 26 through September 8, 2026.
