Blizzard Beach To Close For Refurbishment in Just Days
Disney has just confirmed that Blizzard Beach Water Park will be closing in just days. Find out when Guests can no longer enjoy this winter themed water park.
Free Water Park Entry On Check-In Day

New for 2025 Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotels can enjoy admission to one of the water parks on check-in day! With onsite resort guests feeling like benefits can be lacking. This is one amazing benefit to staying on property.
This summer, both water parks were open at the same time! This hasn't happened since 2019!
Having both water parks open throughout the summer, helped Guests to be able to enjoy this fun perk. However, sometimes the water parks still reached capacity and turned Guests away. We still loved this perk, and are happy to see FREE water park entry return next year.
Blizzard Beach Closure

As the summer crowds settle down, Disney is gearing up for some routine refurbishments. During the winter months, each water park closes for an annual refurbishment. One water park will remain open for Guests' enjoyment while the other water park receives its refurbishment. Typically when the first water park reopens from its annual refurbishment, the second park closes for its annual refurbishment.
Blizzard Beach will close for its annual refurbishment on September 8, 2025.
Disney shared, "Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, September 8. Guests may enjoy Blizzard Beach through Sunday, September 7."
What Does This Mean For You?

Tomorrow, September 7th is that last day for Guests to enjoy Blizzard Beach before it closes for refurbishment. Blizzard Beach will most likely reopen sometime over the winter, but there is no reopening date announced at this time.
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will remain open for Guests to enjoy!
With only one water park open, be sure to pack your patience as this has been a popular resort benefit. The water parks have been BUSY even with both water parks open this summer, so be prepared for heavy crowds on hot days.
