Disney World Files New Permit for Closed Fantasyland Location
After being closed for several months, this new permit may be a positive step for the reopening of Fantasyland's best-kept secret location.
Fantasyland Closures

Magic Kingdom has several projects going on right now, with several changes affecting Fantasyland. One of the biggest changes affects the circus tents at Pete's Silly Sideshow, and the Big Top Souvenir Shop.
This refurbishment has closed the traditional meeting queue for Donald, Goofy, Daisy, and Minnie, they are expected to roam Storybook Circus while this closure takes place.
This will also affect Big Top Souvenirs, which will temporarily close in February 2026 and reopen to Guests later in the year.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Changes

Also in Fantasyland, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique made several changes including new Bibbidi Bobbidi Simplified Package Options. Unfortunately, these new changes also remove some lower-priced package options. You can see a full breakdown of these new packages HERE.
Guests will be able to see the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella as they receive their royal makeovers at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. This new meet and greet did cause a photo pass change at Fantasyland.
The Royal Portrait Studio in Sir Mickey's, across from the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, once served as a fun royal princess photo shoot. Back in September 2025, a large curtain blocked the Royal Portrait Studio from all guests.
Royal Portrait Studio Closure

This curtain has been in place for several months now, but a new permit gives us hope that this space may reopen soon. The general description for this work is for "installation of knee (6 ft high) interior wall inside retail shop."
A new permit has been filed for Sir Mickey's in Fantasyland.
At this time is unclear if the Royal Portrait Studio may return after this refurbishment. We really hope this space will return. It was such a fun space to capture photos after a visit to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
