Cold Weather Impacts Florida

Florida may be known as the Sunshine State, but right now they are experiencing some chilly weather.

Many visitors do not often consider cold weather warnings and winter weather advisories when planning for their theme park vacations in Central Florida.

Volcano Bay Closure

Volcano Bay will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 20th due to inclement weather. Tonight, will have lows in the 30's with tomorrow only reaching the mid 60's.

Universal Orlando encourages guests to stay tuned to their social channels or call 407-817-8317 for updates.

We always recommend checking water park hours before venturing there, especially during the winter.

Upcoming Planned Volcano Bay Closures

Volcano Bay has some upcoming planned closures. The water park will be closed on Wednesday, January 21st, and Thursday, January 22nd.

Volcano Bay will remain closed on Wednesday, January 21st, and Thursday, January 22nd as previously scheduled.

Be sure to keep in mind that later this year Volcano Bay will have a lengthy multi-month closure. This seasonal closure will begin on October 26, 2026. The park will reopen on or before March 24, 2027. You can read more about that HERE.
