As many Disney fans know, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure first opened at Disneyland Paris on July 10, 2014. We were ecstatic to learn that we would be receiving this trackless ride attraction in our very own Walt Disney World.

Since this attraction first opened in 2021, it quickly become a fan favorite at the France Pavilion at EPCOT. Since its opening, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure has seen a few changes

The biggest change came when the attraction closed briefly in November 2026 to shift from 3D to 2D.

Disney shared that, along with this shift from being a 3D ride to a 2D ride. More changes will include updates to the queue and new props being added to this attraction.

I (Donna) have experienced Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at both Disneyland Paris and at EPCOT.On a recent trip, I was excited to try out this new change.

Honestly, I thought that I would dislike the change, but I was pleasantly surprised. In the past, at both Disney Parks, the screens seemed a bit blurry, which really seemed to detract from the immersive 3D experience.

Now with no 3D glasses, I noticed details that I had never noticed before. It was almost as if the attraction was brand new to me, even though I have enjoyed it several times.

The storyline is the same, but in my (Donna) opinion, I felt as though I was more connected with the story without the blurry glasses. I will definitely wait in line to enjoy this attraction every trip to EPCOT. It will be interesting to see the new props that Disney promises to add to this attraction.

  1. I recently experienced it by using the Single Rider line so I missed any updates in the queue. I had a front row seat (amongst strangers) & I noticed I had to close my eyes a lot to prevent any kind of motion sickness from taking over. I'm not sure if that was due to it being 2D or if it was because I had indulged in 3 delicious beverages, beforehand (although, I had experienced it directly after drinks before, whenever it was 3D, & I had no issues). So, I'm not sure if I like the 2D version...
