Hollywood Studios Changes

One thing that sets Disney Parks apart from other Theme Parks is so many great character meet and greets. We all love classic characters like Mickey and his pals, but many Disney fans love rare meet-and-greets.
Animation Courtyard permanently closed on September 25, 2025. This affected both Star Wars Launch Bay and the theater that has been host to Disney Jr Play and Dance.
This did change several Star Wars character meet and greet locations. In true Disney magic, they did bring a bit of added magic with 4 great rare character interactions.
Walt Disney Presents

Walt Disney Presents is located at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Animation Courtyard. Disney promised that while much work is being completed for the new "Magic of Disney Animation" area that both "The Little Mermaid- A Musical Adventure" and "Walt Disney Presents" will remain open.
Since 2023, the live-action Ariel has greeted guests inside Walt Disney Presents. On October 28, 2025, the live-action Ariel began greeting guests at Echo Lake near 50's Prime Time Cafe.
This meet and greet space was changed for guests to meet Santa Claus during normal operating hours (Santa Goofy after December 24), and Jollywood Nights guests could meet Santa Duffy.

Live-action Ariel will return to her official meet and greet location inside Walt Disney Presents on January 12, 2026 (according to the Walt Disney World website).

If you are hoping to meet live-action Ariel as soon as she returns, note that Walt Disney Presents will be quite crowded. These will be the final days for the Taylor Swift display.
