Disney's Hollywood Studios underwent many changes this summer with 2 brand new shows: "Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After" and "The Little Mermaid-A Musical Adventure". Along with this came the closure of the Muppet Courtyard.

Animation Courtyard permanently closed on September 25, 2025. This affected both Star Wars Launch Bay and the theater that has been host to Disney Jr Play and Dance.

Disney was quick to update Disney's Hollywood Studios physical park maps and the map on the My Disney Experience app. This did change several Star Wars character meet and greet locations.

As Walt Disney once said, "We keep moving forward," and that is very true at Walt Disney World. Some of the changes are harder than others for Disney fans.

Today, the construction walls are now extended to enclose the iconic Disney's Hollywood Studios archway. This arch received a change back in 2008 when the park changed from MGM Studios.

The original concept art for this space did not include this famous arch, and it appears that the new extended construction walls signal the demise of this large icon for Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Due to the many construction walls, maneuvering through Disney's Hollywood Studios is a bit complicated now. For guests heading towards Toy Story Land and "The Little Mermaid-A Musical Adventure", they will use the stairs located to the left of the construction walls.

This will make crowds a bit more congested in this area. Plan ahead if you hope to rope drop Toy Story Land.
