Robin Williams Added to Disney's Magic of Animation Experience
Walt Disney World is getting some BIG changes and we now have more details heading for Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Star Wars Launch Bay Closing

On July 22, Walt Disney World announced that Star Wars Launch Bay will close permanently on September 25, 2025. In addition to the Launch Bay closing, the theater that has been host to Disney Jr Play and Dance will also close!
Star Wars Launch Bay has been the area that allowed guests to meet and engage with some favorite Star Wars characters over the years.
The Disney Jr building has hosted many different iterations of kid-friendly sing-alongs over many years. The sing-alongs have included Bear in the Big Blue House, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, and many other Disney Channel favorite dance and sing opportunities.
Robin Williams honored at new experience

If you loved the animated short "Once Upon a Studio", Disney Imagineering will bring this magic to "Magic of Disney Imagineering." The building will be similar to the iconic Roy E. Disney Animation Building. This building will even be topped with Mickey's iconic Sorcerer hat.
What is really cool is that a new addition has now been added to the original concept art for this attraction. The above poster was originally shared for this new experience.
Today, during a media event, Scott Gustin shares a new image of this poster. This is pretty similar, but with one great addition (new poster is the one featured on the right below). Featured near the top of the poster is Robin Williams' Lost Boy!!!! This is the small character in yellow featured to the left of the Magic of Disney Animation logo.
Fun New Additions

Portraits will come to life right before your eyes. Guests of all ages can also enjoy an Animation Experience. Disney also promises many great character interactions at this newly imagined space.
Animation Courtyard will close on September 25, 2025
As we shared before, young animators-to-be can explore the "Drawn to Wonderland" playground. During this transformation, the new "The Little Mermaid- A Musical Adventure" will still be offered along with the "Walt Disney Presents" experience.
What do you think of this new space? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.
