My Disney Experience
It is hard to visit Walt Disney World without using Disney's app. After all, it has everything you need to enjoy a magical vacation! From making dining reservations to ordering food and making Lightning Lanes reservations, and to check current wait times.
Like all apps, it receives regular updates to improve the overall guest experience. Sometimes the updates are great and well received, while others either seem to not make much of a difference at all or leave some just plain frustrated.
Walt Disney World will often display pop-up notifications to guests via the My Disney Experience app. This is helpful to communicate ride closures, changes in operations, and important updates.
Disney Pop-Up Notification
Today, when we opened the Walt Disney World My Disney Experience app, we received a new notification. Disney provides a full listing of New Year's Eve entertainment.
"At EPCOT, celebrate the night away on December 31 with DJ dance parties in World Celebration and around World Showcase. Enjoy "Luminous The Symphony of Us" at 6:30 pm before "Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration kicks off its countdown at 11:54 pm."
"At Disney's Hollywood Studios on December 31, enjoy a variety of live entertainment and DJs all night long, including the Pixar Dance Party. Be on the lookout for special character experiences throughout the park and don't miss the New Year Countdown Fireworks."
"At Magic Kingdom Park, get a jumpstart on your celebration on December 30 with "Fantasy in the Sky" at 7:30 pm, followed by a second showing at 11:50 pm. Both fireworks spectaculars will also greet the new year at the same time on December 31."
Plan Ahead
Along with these details, Disney also reminds guests that Parks and Park Reservations (for Annual Passholders and those with date-based tickets) are limited.
