First Guests Experience New Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is getting a BIG change at Magic Kingdom. Now, some lucky guests get to try out these new changes.
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
Located in the heart of Tomorrowland, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin gives you the chance to defeat the Evil Emperor Zurg. The attraction is currently closed for a major refurbishment!
What we are most excited about is that the once static Z targets throughout the attraction will also be upgraded. Read all about these updates HERE.
Recently, we were able to see these new targets while aboard the PeopleMover.
Guests Aboard Space Ranger Spin
Yesterday, during the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade, we were able to meet Christopher Copeland, who is a Walt Disney World VIP Tour Guide. Copeland shared how much his brother, Brian, loved Buzz Lightyear.
Sadly, his brother passed away, but Copeland received a bit of Disney magic. He was invited in to test out the newly designed Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.
This was such a great sneak peek of the changes for this attraction, and this seemed to mean so much to Copeland in memory of his brother Brian.
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin Reopening
Walt Disney Imagineering also introduced us to "Buddy". She is a support bot at Star Command that will greet guests at the beginning of this attraction.
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin will reopen in the Spring of 2026!
Guests can even get in a little target practice with Buddy before the game officially begins. There is even an "If You Had Wings" Easter Egg (the attraction that was once located in this same space).
