Main Street Electrical Parade Returns in 2026
Do you miss the nostalgia of the Main Street Electrical Parade and other old school Disney entertainment? You will want to mark your calendars for 2 key dates!
Disney Park Events
There are several special ticketed events throughout the Disney Parks. Walt Disney World offers holiday events such as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
At Disneyland, Guests can enjoy the Oogie Boogie Boo Bash. Believe it or not, there are also After Hours that are not just for holidays.
In 2022, "After Dark Events" returned to Disneyland. Disney just announced full dates and details for the 2026 lineup.
After Dark Events 2026
There are a few "After Dark Events" that return every year. First, Sweethearts' Nite will be hosted at Disneyland park on January 22, 25, 27, and February 5, 8, 10, 12, 17. See my full review for this event HERE.
Disneyland After Dark: Disney Channel Nite returns, with an engaging blend of entertainment, characters, and music celebrating beloved eras of the iconic TV channel. Dates include April 12, 14, 16, 2026.
Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite returns for epic nights in 2026. Navigate to a distant galaxy with friends, family, and fellow fans to enjoy a thrilling evening with impressive character gatherings, illustrious photo ops, and more. This is a personal favorite for me (Donna) and will be offered April 28 & 30 and May 4 & 6, 2026.
Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite is a festive evening featuring rainbow projections, lively decor, dazzling entertainment, and more. This will be offered on June 16 and 18, 2026.
Main Street Electrical Parade
Finally, Disneyland brings a new "After Dark Event" for 2026 with Disneyland: After Dark 70 Years of Favorites. Disney promises this event, "weaves together the best of Disneyland happenings, including nods to favorite musical moments, shows, and characters."
Disneyland: After Dark 70 Years of Favorites will be offered March 3 and 5, 2026.
Fun activities will include swing dancing at Royal Theater in Fantasyland, neon nostalgia at Videopolis Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, line dancing with "Woody's Round Up" at the Golden Horseshoe.
Guests can enjoy fun photo opportunities of our favorite Disney moments, including past entertainment such as "Mad T Party," "Main Street Electrical Parade," and Club Buzz, as well as some favorite attractions. We only wish showtimes would be offered for the Main Street Electrical Parade.
Disney will bring back many of our favorite characters, including: "
Characters from days gone by, as you encounter some of your favorite "Long Lost Friends" from Disney Afternoon, "Mother" and "Father" from Carousel of Progress, Merlin, Flik and Atta, and the Fantasmic! Monkeys."
