Another Disney Restaurant is Now Permanently Closed
This Disney restaurant location's closure has been a long time coming, and now the day has finally arrived. But remember, there is good news to go along with it!
Earl of Sandwich
If you're looking for a delicious, quick, and convenient meal during your Disney vacation, Earl of Sandwich is the perfect place to stop. The restaurant celebrates the art of the sandwich with delightfully easy options!
You can find The Earl of Sandwich in the Disney downtown districts for parks on both North American coasts! It is a very popular quick-service option.
Now, one location is closing its doors forever. However, you will still be able to get your fill of Earl of Sandwich because while it is closed, it is also open, but also coming soon, all at the same time. (It's complicated.)
The Earl of Sandwich Tavern is Closed
The location that is closing is the Earl of Sandwich Tavern. This is (or was) the Downtown Disney location in Disneyland on the East Side. It has already been removed from the Disneyland Website.
This location is closing to make way for an exciting new addition. Construction will begin on Porto's Bakery. The iconic Southern California destination is known for its sweet pastries as well as California-Cuban-inspired dishes. This new location will be the first Porto's with sit-down table service and a full bar.
But don't worry. You can still get Earl of Sandwich! There is a pop-up location near Star Wars Trading Post that is still open for business. PLUS, remember a brand new location is coming as well!
New Two-Story Earl of Sandwich
As previously announced, a new two-story Earl of Sandwich is coming to Downtown Disney, and it is set to be bigger and better than ever! Upstairs will be home to an all-new table-service concept, The Carnaby Tavern.
A New Two-Story Earl of Sandwhich will open at a later date.
So, it isn't really goodbye, it's just Ta Ta For Now-ish.
