Icon Turned to Eyesore at Disney's Hollywood Studios
This change hits a bit differently for some guests, but it will forever change the landscape of Disney's Hollywood Studios for all of us. What do you think of this change?
Hollywood Studios Closures

Disney's Hollywood Studios underwent many changes this summer with 2 brand new shows: "Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After" and "The Little Mermaid-A Musical Adventure". Along with this came the closure of the Muppet Courtyard.
Animation Courtyard permanently closed on September 25, 2025. This affected both Star Wars Launch Bay and the theater that has been host to Disney Jr Play and Dance.
Disney was quick to update Disney's Hollywood Studios physical park maps and the map on the My Disney Experience app. This did change several Star Wars character meet and greet locations.
Hollywood Studios Changes

As Walt Disney once said, "We keep moving forward," and that is very true at Walt Disney World. Some of the changes are harder than others for Disney fans.
Earlier, we shared that the construction walls are now extended to enclose the iconic Disney's Hollywood Studios archway.
This makes navigating Hollywood Studios a bit more complicated. Check out these new changes HERE.
Disney's Hollywood Studios Demolition

The iconic Disney's Hollywood Studios archway was not included in the original concept art for this space for "The Magic of Disney Animation". This is sad for many since this arch was added to MGM Studios, and then was later rebranded when the park changed to Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2008.
The classic Disney's Hollywood Studios arch is now being dismantled.
The Disney's Hollywood Studios signage has been removed. Today, we see the first signs of the demolition of this iconic archway. Scrim is now covering the paneling removed on the sides of this attraction. This is starting to turn this icon into an eyesore during this demolition.
