Warning Issued for Disney World Dining Reservations
Guests hoping to book dining reservations at Walt Disney World are left with this warning. Do you think Disney should do more to correct this problem?
Disney World Technical Glitches
The My Disney Experience app and website continue to be the heart of planning Disney vacations both at home and while on vacation. Guests manage reservations, tickets and itineraries on the "My Plans" section.
You can see your day planned out, including making Lightning Lane Multi-Pass selections. Although critics say using My Disney Experience for virtually everything on Disney vacations ties us to our phones too much, others love the convenience.
In addition to My Disney Experience, guests also book a variety of phone reservations including resort stays, dining, tickets, and experiences.
Disney Dining Reservation Changes
Recently, Disney made updates to both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland apps to make booking dining reservations even easier for guests. However, technical glitches still plague Disney.
Back in August when many Walt Disney World guests attempted to book dining reservations for Beak and Barrel, the entire dining reservation system went down.
As Disney prepared to open Advanced Dining Reservations again, they made a BIG change. When guests attempt to make an Advanced Dining Reservation on the app, they are redirected to the Walt Disney World website.
Dining Reservation Warning
This change was later reverted back, but it seems that more should be done to improve the dining reservation system. Today, October 1, 2025, guests attempting to book a dining reservation were met with a blank white screen.

While other Guests receive this warning, "Pardon the inconvenience: At this time, we are unable to make or modify dining reservations online or over the phone. We apologize for any inconvenience."
At this time, it is unclear the reason for this outtage, but we hope that it will reopen quickly. This is quite disappointing for Guests who woke up early to secure their dining reservations 60 days before their Walt Disney World Resort check-in date.
Update: The Walt Disney World dining reservations returned at 10:00 am (ET) on October 1, 2025. Unfortunately, the Disneyland dining reservations are still unavailable.
