Incredibly High Wait Times for This Limited Time Disney Attraction

Walt Disney World is offering a limited-time attraction overlay, and Guests are willing to wait for a LONG time to experience it. Would you join the high wait time or pass?

One thing that is really cool about the Disney Parks is they are constantly refreshing. With the addition of many new film franchises, the Walt Disney Company no has a far reach in the entertainment industry.

The most anticipated is that the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will soon have a brand new mission. The new mission will feature the Mandalorian and Grogu when the new film is released in 2026.

Disney also offers new film sneak peeks and costumes on display at Walt Disney Presents at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Currently, Magic Kingdom offers a new overlay for TRON Lightcycle/Run. See this cool limited-time experience HERE.

Cosmic Rewind Change

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind still garners high wait times at EPCOT and for good reason. Some guests return to this attraction for the great thrills of rotating 360 degrees throughout the attraction. And, other guests love the overall theming of the Guardians of the Galaxy crew.

Still, other guests have a goal to enjoy all 6 songs featured for this attraction. Guests often ask Cast Members if they can request a particular song for Cosmic Rewind. Cast Members are unable to accommodate these requests as the songs shuffle randomly.

That is, except for September 21st or, as some EPCOT-ians would say, the "21st Night of September". That's right, returning for a 2nd year, "September" is on repeat ALL DAY aboard Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

High Wait Times in EPCOT

EPCOT Guests are lining up to experience this one-day attraction overlay at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Within the first hour of park opening, Cosmic Rewind boasted a 195-minute wait time.

"September" is on repeat ALL DAY aboard Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

It will be interesting to see if the high wait times continue throughout the day. Currently (at 9:50 am), the wait times for other popular EPCOT attractions are fairly normal, with Test Track at 75 minutes, Frozen Ever After at 55 minutes, Soarin' at 20 minutes, and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at 35 minutes
