Hollywood Studios Attraction Now Blocked Off to Guests
Typically Walt Disney World announces refurbishments and closures ahead of time, but this one kind of us took us by surprise. Find out which attraction is now closed off to guests and make plans for your next trip to Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Disney Refurbishments

Refurbishments are a part of life at Disney Parks. These may take place for various reasons, whether it be for mechanical issues or cosmetic updates. Based on the nature of the work, the refurbishment may take anywhere from a few days to several months.
At other times, refurbishments may take place while the attraction remains open. Guests may notice some attraction elements blocked and operating hours may be affected.
Disney Parks reserves the right to change operational hours as needed and without notice. Our Kenny the Pirate writing crew continues to share upcoming closures with you.
Hollywood Studios Changes

Much work is already taking place at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Monsters Inc. Land is well underway with the demolition of the former Stage 1 Company Store located in Muppets Courtyard.
Walt Disney World announced that Star Wars Launch Bay will close permanently on September 25, 2025. In addition to the Launch Bay closing, the theater that has been host to Disney Jr Play and Dance will also close to make way for the new Magic of Disney Animation experience.
You can see full details of what is coming to this space HERE. During this transformation, the new "The Little Mermaid- A Musical Adventure" will still be offered along with the "Walt Disney Presents" experience.
Attraction Closed Off to Guests

Walt Disney Presents is located at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Animation Courtyard. You can explore great displays and learn more about Walt Disney and the history of the Walt Disney Company.
Guests can still enjoy a large section of this attraction, but for now, this display is closed off to guests.
Currently, the large display that once featured the Disney Cruise Line is now blocked to guests. A sign is visible notifying guests, "We're curating more magic for this display, please come back another day."
It will be interesting to see if this space may be updated with a new Disney Cruise ship, as this previously shared a display for the Disney Wish.
