Two Changes Today at Disney's Animal Kingdom
Guests visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom today noticed two big changes. Check these out before your next trip to Walt Disney World.
Closures and Changes at Disney World

There are really BIG changes happening at every Walt Disney World Theme Park currently. At EPCOT, Spaceship Earth is closed for a somewhat lengthy refurbishment. This closure also affects the entrance to the GEO-82 Lounge
The layout of Disney's Hollywood Studios also changed with the closing of the Muppet Courtyard in early June to make room for a new Monsters Inc. Land. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster will close in early 2026 for the Muppet retheme.
At Magic Kingdom, construction walls are in place along the standby queue for the Haunted Mansion and along the Rivers of America as work continues for the new Piston Peak National Park.
Animal Kingdom Changes

DinoLand is about to become extinct at Disney's Animal Kingdom. An entirely new land is on the way. It is set to be themed around Tropical Americas! We can't wait to see Welcome to Pueblo Esperanza!
Disney announced a phased closure for DinoLand, and guests experienced big changes when The Boneyard officially closed on September 1, 2025. The following day, construction walls were erected and completely removed from both the map on the My Disney Experience app and the physical map available in the parks.
While Disney promised that 2025 would be your year to enjoy the DINOSAUR attraction, the pathway is now a winding maze. You can see the new path that Guests must use HERE.
Demolition at DinoLand USA

Now the landscape of Disney's Animal Kingdom looks much different. As Guests approach, what once was the entrance of DinoLand, the large dinosaur skeleton and bridge are now missing.

Over at The Boneyard, much of this former attraction is now demolished. While we knew these changes were coming, it is still a bit surprising how quickly this demolition is happening.
