Disney's "Zootopia: Better Zoogether" Adds a Brand New Character
This is the Disney update that we didn't know we needed. Find out which character and famous voice is joining the show.
"Zootopia: Better Zoogether"
Zootopia: Better Zoogether opened to Guests on November 7, 2025. This show replaced Disney's Animal Kingdom opening attraction, "It's Tough to Be a Bug."
When this show first debuted, Guests were introduced to familiar furry faces and new friends, like Heidi Howler. Heidi Hower is a "slick-talking wolf who hosts the Zoogether Day LIVE! broadcast with excitement, energy, and quite a bit of howling."
Guests enjoy "Carrot Vision," which includes sight, sound, smell, and touch for an immersive experience.
New Addition to "Better Zoogether"
We love when Disney adds a fun surprise to existing attractions. Starting today, July 29, 2026, Disney's Animal Kingdom Guests can spot a new character in the preshow for "Zootopia: Better Zoogether".
Disney Imagineers added Zootopia's Mayor Brian Winddancer. This character became an instant favorite when Zootopia 2 first debuted.
We even get a behind-the-scenes look as Disney Imagineers worked after park closing to bring Mayor Brain Winddancer to the Zoogether Day celebrations.
Patrick Warburton
Guests may recognize the voice of Mayor Brian Winddancer. It is none other than Patrick Warburton, who also serves as our favorite chief flight attendant turned captain, Patrick from Soarin'.
Mayor Brian Winddancer is now added to "Zootopia: Better Zoogether".
Warburton is also the voice of Kronk from Disney's animated classic, The Emperor's New Groove. We love these extra surprises added to existing Disney Park attractions.
