Two New Changes Today at EPCOT

Guests visiting EPCOT today noticed two big changes. Check these out before your next trip to Walt Disney World.

At the entrance to EPCOT, the International Food & Wine Festival decorations are in place. Kicking off this Thursday, EPCOT is abuzz with preparattions.

The Festival will run from August 28 to November 22, 2025. The 2025 Food and Wine Festival will run for 90 days and features over 35 global marketplaces.

Spaceship Earth Closure

New Details for the Spaceship Earth Closing — Credit: KtP

Spaceship Earth is now offically closed for a brief refurbishment. Previously, Disney announced BIG plans to completely overhaul Spaceship Earth. You can see those plans here.

With a new permit filed it appears that this refurbishment will not include any of these big plans. The permit is simply for "General Construction".

The dreaded rolling shrubbery is now in place along this attraction and there are few more changes that you will want to be aware of.

New Signage Added for Geo-82 Lounge

Recently, EPCOT opened the adult-only GEO-82 Lounge located at the back of Spaceship Earth. Guests would enter the GEO-82 Lounge through Project Tomorrow.

Geo-82 Lounge guests will now use the West Entrance

Since this indoor space is now closed due to the Spaceship Earth refurbishment. A sign is now posted at the entrance of Project Tomorrow directing Geo-82 Lounge guests to use the West Entrance. Inside, potted plants block the entrance leading into Project Tomorrow.
