One thing that sets Disney Parks apart from other Theme Parks is the amazing entertainment. Every night, guests at Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT can enjoy amazing shows as the sun sets.
The nighttime show Fantasmic! is a story where Mickey is transported into a dream. He dances along with music, lighting effects, and pyrotechnics. Various characters and scenes from popular Disney movies are part of the sequence as well.
Since it first debuted in 1998 at what was then MGM Studios, it has seen many changes throughout the years. The most recent big change was in 2022 when it finally reopened with new scenes.
Fantasmic! Change
Fantasmic is located in a large amphitheater, but quickly fills up and on occasion reaches capacity. This can be quite disappointing to guests.
On dates when higher crowds are expected, Fantasmic! often adds an additional showtime. This summer, guests visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios have enjoyed 2 showtimes at 8:30 pm and 10:00 pm.
Unfortunately, the fall will bring decreased showtimes for Fantasmic! with only one showtime nightly beginning Thursday, September 18, 2025. The showtime shifts to 9:30 pm starting on this date and continues through Sunday, October 26, 2025 (furthest date listing showtimes).
Best Tips For Fantasmic!
Our favorite tip for Fantasmic! is to plan for the second showtime for lighter crowds, but that will soon change with fall showtime changes. If you really want to watch Fantasmic!, you have 2 options that will guarantee a seat for this show.
Fantasmic! changes to a 9:30 pm showtime starting September 18, 2025
One way to receive preferred seating is to book the Fantasmic! Dining Package. This is available at select dining locations. Along with a delicious meal, this will also offer reserved seating for Fantasmic! in the center of the amphitheater.
If you do not want the added expense of a dining package, we suggest lining up early for Fantasmic! Guests are allowed to line up starting 90 minutes before showtime. While there are many great spots to view this show, lining up early will ensure that you can enter the amphitheatre.
