Port Orleans French Quarter features great theming throughout the resort that allows guests to feel as though they are in the middle of a Mardi Gras parade.
There is so much to absolutely love about Port Orleans French Quarter, with the great theming, Scat Cat's Lounge, and delicious beignets. Many guests not staying at the resort visit the lobby just for the beignets and fun Louisiana vibe.
Port Orleans French Quarter Refurbishment

Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter has undergone a HUGE transformation over the past year. All Resort rooms received a big (and frankly much-needed) overhaul. The work started in May 2024 and took several months to complete. See full pictures of this transformation HERE.
The guest-favorite, Scat Cat Lounge, closed for refurbishment briefly and a large refurbishment closed the feature Doubloon Lagoon Pool for several months.
Now, additional refurbishment work is announced for Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter.
Guests Notified at Disney's French Quarter

Now guests with upcoming reservations at Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter are being notified of new refurbishment work at the Resort lobby. Disney shares, "From August 25 through the end of September, the lobby of Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter will undergo renovations."
French Quarter Lobby begins renovations on August 25, 2025
Disney assures, "While Guests may see or hear maintenance in the area during daytime hours, the lobby will remain open during construction and all amenities will be available."
