2025 Hurricane Season

The 2025 Hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th.Typically, most hurricanes hit during August, September, and October. September is considered the peak hurricane season in Florida.
The NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) is predicting that this year will be an above-normal season. They are estimating 13-19 named storms, with 6 to 10 being hurricanes and 3 to 5 of them becoming major hurricanes.
For travelers headed to Disney World during this time of year, it is important to be prepared and stay aware of weather conditions. This includes packing extra items like battery chargers, medications, and baby supplies. We suggest turning on all weather alerts and closely monitoring severe weather patterns right before and during your vacation.
What We Know About Tropical Storm Erin

Erin is currently a tropical storm. It will however, in the next day to day and a half, intensify into a hurricane. Erin is even expected to become a major hurricane this weekend.
With the expected turn, Erin is anticipated to remain East of Florida.
The good news for Florida is that on most models, it is believed to turn and stay East of Florida. The Caribbean islands could feel more of an impact of this storm, but it is still anticipated to be North of the islands.
What Does This Mean For you?

Even though it looks that Erin will miss Walt Disney World, it is important to still pay close attention to the weather. These storms can change direction, and staying informed is important.
