Brand New Disney Character Added to This Resort Perk
This new character surprised us at this Walt Disney World Resort. Disney is really making this summer magical for "Cool Kid Summer".
Character Resort Perk
Part of what makes a Disney vacation so magical is interacting with your favorite characters. Princesses, The Fab 5, Pixar characters, and more come to life in theme parks and resorts.
In honor of Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary, Disney Characters began appearing at select Walt Disney World Resorts. Thankfully, these fun character interactions continued even past the anniversary festivities. See the new change Disney made for this perk HERE.
Many guests choose to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort to be in the "Disney Bubble". By adding fun characters and entertainment at their Resort, this is a great way to continue the Disney magic even after leaving the parks.
"Cool Kid Summer" Entertainment
Walt Disney World is bringing the magic back in a BIG way with "Cool Kid Summer." These limited-time summer activities throughout Walt Disney World now until September 1, 2025. Check out our full guide to these activities HERE.
This extends to all 4 Theme Parks, Blizzard Beach Water Park, and select Disney Resorts: Art of Animation, Pop Century Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, and Wilderness Lodge
As part of this "Cool Kid Summer" program, Disney has introduced guests to many fun pop-up entertainers at the Theme Parks, such as Streetmosphere performers at EPCOT, "CJ McSundae" ice cream-themed magician act at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and the DJ Ringmaster at Magic Kingdom.
Brand New Character at Pop Century
Now, Disney is even bringing new, fun entertainers to select Walt Disney World Resorts. Guests at Disney's Pop Century Resort thought a guest was being a bit too loud on their cell phone, until they realised that she was wearing a microphone.
Fun "tourist" entertainer interacts with guests at Disney's Pop Century
The "tourist" appeared to be talking on the phone to her family and then began interacting with guests. She made us laugh out loud when she commented, "Looks like you are ready to have some fun in the WDW." Located next to this fun new Streetmosphere character, has a Cast Member serving as her Character attendant off to the side.
This is another reason why Walt Disney World is truly magical this summer. We hope that these fun, surprise pop-up interactions will continue even when "Cool Kid Summer" ends. Thanks to tonya4disney for sharing this fun interaction:
