Disney has Officially Canceled Tiana
Disney had big plans for Tiana. However, now those plans are not moving forward. Here is the full story.

The replacement of Splash Mountain with Tiana's Bayou Adventure is not the only Princess and the Frog news that caught our attention in recent years. You might recall that Disney made another big Tiana announcement a few years ago.
Disney announced a long-form TV series called Tiana for Disney+. You can read about the original plans for the series HERE.
Many animation fans were excited to learn that this series would be a musical long-form series featuring an animation style similar to The Princess and the Frog. It was meant to pick up where shortly after the conclusion of the film. Tiana has just married her prince and has been crowned Princess of Maldonia. The series was meant to follow her on a new adventure that calls her to her New Orleans past.
Tiana Has Been Canceled
However, now we will never see the series on Disney+, which is a shame because it sounded amazing. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the end has come for Tiana.
Reportedly, as a result of a shift in business strategy, Disney has scrapped the Tiana series. The company will also not move forward with an unannounced feature-length project meant to be released directly to Disney+.
This news mirrors the announcement that Disney+ would no longer prioritize long-form content after the release of Win or Lose.
What is Next for Tiana
The fact remains that Tiana is a beloved Disney Princess. So, it is possible that we will eventually see more Tiana content despite this shift in focus. After all, Moana 2 started off as a concept for a Dinsey+ Series, and it was scrapped and turned into a feature-length film that ultimately went on to be reworked and became wildly successful at the box office.
Tiana might just end up with more great content.
In fact, there is reportedly short-form Tiana content in development. Hopefully, it will make it out of its early phases.

We are in wdw 3 to 4 days a week and hear nothing positive about tiana anything. The merch does not sell at all. There was sooo much at the ESPN arena Disney merch sale and it wasn't moving. The ride gets terrible reviews and not only because it's down almost every day . As far as moana 2 goes, 1 out of 3 people think the plot is awful.
Great Disney story tellers no longer exist . Disney Imagineers have left Disney for Universal. The people who worked on the magic bands +, which do nothing like Disney advertised, are now at universal and are responsible for tge new Wands and nintendo land band technology.
