Disney+ subscribers and fans of Disney branded television alike will be delighted to know that Disney has announced renewals for three more shows. Are you excited about any of these announcements?
Disney Branded Television
Surely Disney Branded Television needs no introduction. Disney brings so many television programs from stations like Disney Channel and Streaming services like Disney+ into millions of homes across the nation daily.
Some fans have been unhappy with recent cancellation news. Several popular shows have been canceled including The Muppets Mayhem.
However, there has also been plenty of good news lately as well. Popular Star Wars series like Ahsoka and The Mandalorian will be getting new stories, which you can read about HERE. We also found out some great news for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, which you will find HERE.
We also have some interesting news about the highly anticipated Moana series. And now THREE popular shows have happy renewal announcements!
Goosebumps
First up is Goosebumps, the series based on the popular R.L. Stine’s beloved book series. In fact, it was one of Disney’s most-watched shows of the year. Happily, its popularity has led to a renewal!
Season two promises to feature an entirely new story, cast, and setting. However, the creative team behind the show will return.
Goosebumps is returning for a second season.
It is clear that the creators are excited about this one! Katherine Pope, president of Sony Pictures Television Studios said, “Like when you cracked open a new book in the ‘Goosebumps’ series, we can’t wait to see how the writers flip the show on its head as we explore the series as an anthology.”
Season two will have a set of teenage siblings at its center. Together they discover a threat within their home that brings about a mystery to unravel, including the story of five teenagers who mysteriously vanished in the 90’s.
Children’s Programming
Disney has also ordered more seasons of some popular children’s programming. Disney announced the third season of the hit animated series “SuperKitties” ahead of its season two debut.
According to Disney, “SuperKitties,” about four fierce and furry superhero kittens who are on a mission to make their town of Kittydale a more caring and ‘pawsome’ place, finished 2023 as the #1 new preschool series.” It has been popular with pre-schoolers and their families, and now those fans can anticipate a second and third season to look forward to!
Disney has also announced the third season of “Pupstruction” ahead of its season two debut! ““Pupstruction,” follows the story of an all-dog construction crew who pour mud, sweat, drool, and plenty of heart into keeping their town of Petsburg in tip-top shape!
According to Disney, it has ranked as the #1 cable series with Kids 2-5 every quarter since its launch. Fans should be pleased to know that plenty of new episodes are on the way!
