Do you love finding Magic Shots to add to your Memory Maker when you visit Walt Disney World? Here is how you can enjoy some special photo ops around the theme parks just in time for the holidays!
Magic Shots
Everyone loves Magic Shots. These are special photo enhancements that Walt Disney World’s PhotoPass Photographers can add to your pictures to give you and your travel party a little extra magic! For example, you might find a Disney character has entered your photo! Or perhaps you will find a sky filled with fireworks.
Sometimes you will be asked to do special poses to make the magic work. Perhaps you will lift a donkey like Luisa or hold Tinker Bell in the palm of your hand!
Not all photographers have Magic Shots, and most are only available at select locations around the parks. Here is what you need to know about finding some of the very best shots Disney has to offer for the holidays!
Holiday Magic Shots
It is true that there are some Magic shots available exclusively at Disney’s parties this year such as Jollywood and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. But did you know that there are plenty of special Magic Shots available to you without a party ticket?
In fact, there are some Magic Shots that you can find in every park! These include a shot featuring Tink in her red holiday dress, Chip n Dale, Winter Confetti, Mistle Toe, and the elusive Naughty and Nice List! Ask your photographer if there is magic to add!
If you love Experiment 626, you are in luck! This year you can enjoy a photo with Stitch popping out of a gift. It too is available at select locations around Walt Disney World.
If there is a specific Magic Shot you want and don’t know where to find it, ask a photographer. Sometimes they can point you in the right direction.
Of course, there are some Magic Shots that are exclusive to specific parks this year. Here is a rundown.
EPCOT
If you visit EPCOT this year during EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, you will find so many delicious treats to eat and fun and magical holiday experiences to enjoy. These include traditions such as Candlelight Processional and Story Tellers. And, you can also add a little holiday magic to your pictures! EPCOT has some special shots for you.
First, grab a photo with Donald Duck, José Carioca, and Panchito Pistoles! The Three Caballeros Magic Shot is available from Disney PhotoPass photographers in two locations. You can find them stationed in the Mexico pavilion and near the bridge leading from the Odyssey to the Mexico pavilion.
Or, for another special character, head over to Norway! You can add Olaf and Sven to your pictures when you find PhotoPass photographers either stationed in the pavilion or in Wandering Oaken’s Pop-Up Portraits. You can find other Frozen Magic shots there too!
Magic Kingdom
Next, for a SPECIAL treat, head to the Magic Kingdom. There you can look for this cool Super-Zoom Magic Shot! Super Zooms are actually video shots. In this unique shot, you will take what seems like a regular picture. But, when it zooms all the way out, you will find yourself and your travel party in a snow globe with Cinderella Castle.
This photo op is sure to be hot, and it is available only from the Disney PhotoPass photographer located near the East Lawn and Plaza Restaurant within the Cinderella Castle Hub area. You will know you have found the right one when you spot a Cast Member with a tablet. You can grab this special photo now through January 6.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
During select evenings, you can enjoy all the fun of Jollywood Nights, including special photos. However, much like the Magic Kingdom there are photos to enjoy without a party ticket here, too!
One of these is the Chip ’n Dale Ornament. This Magic Shot is available from the Disney PhotoPass photographer stationed near Disney’s Hollywood Studios arch. Hurry because it is only around now through December 31. You can find this one at Animal Kingdom as well!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
What better place to enjoy some Magic Shots with festive animals than in the heart of Dinsey’s tribute to nature? Animal Kingdom has a favorable mix of shots for you to enjoy in addition to the Chip n’ Dale shot.
One of these is a picture with Meko! Magic Shot is available from Disney PhotoPass photographers stationed at the top of the bridge heading from the park entrance into Discovery Island. It will only be there now through January 5.
Disney Springs
In addition to the other free offerings in Disney Springs, you can enjoy some magic shots! Simply head over to PhotoPass Studio in Disney Springs in Marketplace. They just added a fun Christmas background to the rotation of offerings. It features an old-timey red truck with a trunk full of holiday goodness including a Mickey Mouse Christmas wreath!
Better yet, some of these offerings have MAGIC! You can enjoy the snowflake confetti shot. There are also some fun holiday props to enhance the photos.
All of these photo ops are SNOW much fun! Be sure to make time to grab a few if you have Memory Maker. You might even want to keep the contents of them a secret from the other members of your party so they can be in for a fun surprise when they pop up in the account later.
