Disney World Phases Out All-Terrain Wheelchair Rentals

Disney World Wheelchair Rentals
If guests require assistance, Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECV) and wheelchairs are available for rent at all Walt Disney World Theme Parks as well as Disney Springs.
Daily Rentals are transferable between all locations. You pay just once for the day. Length-of-stay rentals are not available for ECVs. However, vehicles can be held if Guests leave and return to the same park on the same day.
ECVs rented from Disney may not be removed from the destination where they were rented. When exiting your location, simply return your ECV to the rental counter to receive your deposit. If you're at Disney Springs, your deposit will be returned at this time. If leaving one theme park and visiting another, present your rental receipt with your deposit to secure another ECV, if available.
Disney All-Terrain Wheelchairs
Due to the terrain of both Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach, an all-terrain or beach wheelchair is the better option for Guests in need of ability assistance.
On the Walt Disney World website, it states that standard land wheelchairs or ECV's are available for rent at both Disney water parks. However, these only allow Guests to navigate the paved dry pathways, walkways, and zero-depth entry points.
According to @wheelsnoheels, Disney previously offered beach wheelchairs to Guests. This post is going viral; however, the Walt Disney World website now states, "Disney's Blizzard Beach does not provide waterproof or water-accessible wheelchairs for use in teh park's pools or attractions."

@wheelsnoheels shares photos of her using a beach wheelchair. She shares that these have now been completely removed from Disney's Typhoon Lagoon (which is currently closed for refurbishment), and only a few may still be available at Disney's Blizzard Beach.
Disney warns Guests, "Guests who need mobility assistance or specialized chairs to enter the water must bring their own waterproof equipment."
