Over the past couple of years, the Walt Disney Company has been under attack by many who feel that the Disney parks are too expensive for the average family. Walt Disney first envisioned Disneyland as a place where parents and children could enjoy attractions in a magical land together.

Disney shares that budget-conscious Disney guests should aim to visit the Disney Parks during the cheapest dates and use value resorts, stating that making a Disney vacation affordable is the Guests' responsibility.

While we understand that prices for all goods are increasing, it seems Disney has historically increased prices for all Guests every year.

Although price increases are evident throughout the year, it appears that October comes with huge price increases across Walt Disney World.

This has been the case starting in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. The date has changed, but it has always occurred in October. Guests visiting the Disney Parks wake up to discover that several dining options are now more expensive than when they went to sleep the night before.

Price increases almost always affect Annual Passholder tiers, Park tickets, quick-service dining, table-service dining, souvenirs, and Lightning Lane prices.

We hope that October 2026 may be the time that Disney breaks this trend. It would be amazing to share that there is no news to report on this.
