Christmas at Disney World
There is nothing like “Coming Home For the Holidays”, and many Disney fans feel as though Walt Disney World is their home away from home. Each park is beautifully decorated with unique decorations to reflect the overall theme and ambiance of that park.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is personally one of my (Donna) favorites at Christmas. With the tinsel and beautiful neon lights, this truly is Tinseltown at its finest. Many traditions and decorations stay the same at Walt Disney World, but this year they are changing things up a bit.
First, they offer a brand new party experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with Jollywood Nites. Be sure to check out the newest details HERE. At Magic Kingdom, there is a brand new Frozen show.
They also have provided guests with many opportunities to meet with Santa with a returning Virtual Queue at Disney Springs along with a brand new meeting location at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
New Attraction Opening
Disney continues to offer unbelievable experiences and make changes with little or no advanced warning. We are all really excited for this unexpected change.
One often overlooked location at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the area of Grand Avenue where MuppetVision 3D is located along with Italian dining locations at PizzaRizzo and Mama Melrose. One little shop looks so inviting but has remained closed for several years.
The “It’s A Wonderful Shop” is always ready for the Christmas season even while remaining closed. This shop first welcomed guests in June 1992, and its long closure was met with disappointment by many Disney guests.
“For the first time in forever”, the “It’s A Wonderful Shop” is reopened for a very special holiday attraction overlay. Starting today, November 11th, guests can meet Santa Claus at this location until he delivers his packages on December 24th.
The current hours to meet Santa Claus are daily from 10:00 am until 1:30 pm, 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and 7:30 pm until 8:30 pm.
