We are just a few weeks away from the debut of Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney just revealed so many details – how to join the queue for Rise of the Resistance, really fun photo opportunities, a better look at the new costumes, and much more.
Jollywood Nights
Celebrate the glitz and the glamour of old Hollywood this holiday season. This limited-ticket event takes place at Hollywood Studios on select nights in November and December.
There will be a Nightmare Before Christmas stage show, broadway-style Muppets show, soiree at the Hollywood Tower Hotel, and so many character meets.
While Disney remained pretty quiet, they are spilling all the details recently! Check out the full menu plus details on the Brown Derby speak-easy lounge and soiree HERE.
Two Shows
As mentioned above, the Nightmare Before Christmas show is a sing-along event at the Hyperion Theater. Jack Skellington takes us on an ethereal exploration of “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Sing along to beloved songs from the iconic film and discover peculiar magic in unexpected places. Watch out for Oogie Boogie!
“Disney Holidays in Hollywood” is the other show that will take place at the Theater of the Stars. Think of it as a broadway-style variety show! It features characters like Kermit, Miss Piggy, Tiana, Belle, Mickey, and Minnie.
Tiana will sing a brand new song while you take in the singers, dances, and live jazz musicians.
New Outfits
Last week, we shared a photo of the new outfits worn by Mickey and friends. It reminded me more of a beach bash than an evening of old Hollywood. Disney says the outfits are inspired by the vintage party vibe the event is going for.
What confused me even more is that on a segment with Good Morning America, a spokesperson for Disney claimed this would be an adult-only event. However, they are selling children’s tickets, and these outfits scream kid-friendly costumes.

Hear music throughout the park as a DJ spins holiday tunes, and stroll around Echo Lake to meet characters like Powerline Max, Phineas and Ferb, and more.
New photo opportunities include:

Be sure to link your ticket to access the photos as well as join the queue for Rise of the Resistance. As a reminder, there will be no standby line for the attraction on Jollywood nights. YOU MUST JOIN THE FORCE (QUEUE)! The queue opens at 6:00 pm.
Both Sunset Seasons Greetings and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will run during these events as well. Head down Sunset Boulevard to feel the “snow” fall and watch the scenes change on the Hollywood Tower Hotel.
