Construction and Refurbishments

The Disney Parks are always in a state of progress. They are constantly updating existing paintwork and details regularly throughout the Parks and Resorts. Along with this, they continue to add additional projects to help add a bit more enjoyment for guests or to make the parks a bit more functional for guests.

While Disney’s Animal Kingdom does not have any “official” refurbishments on the calendar, that does not mean work is not taking place throughout the park.

Many feel that Disney’s Animal Kingdom is at risk of becoming extinct. This park just celebrated its 25th anniversary this past April and has many projections on the horizon. During the D23 Expo, Disney announced plans to remake DinoLand USA and the “Tough To Be A Bug” show.

Now without much news, Disney has begun construction across from the Harambe Market. This quick-service market offers Animal Kingdom guests a variety of menu items from delectable rice bowls to delicious beverages.

Open for both lunch and dinner, this is a pretty popular location for hungry guests. Disney has now brought in construction walls and work is taking place across from Harambe Market.

There is no indication of what is really taking place behind these construction walls, but our best guess is that this will eventually offer additional seating for Harambe Market guests.

Construction walls are in place across from the Harambe Market.

This may not be the most fun construction update, but additional seating is always needed especially at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
