Magic Returns to Smugglers Run at Hollywood Studios
Your next trip aboard the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will look a bit different, and we love it!
New Star Wars Locations
Back in May, Disney brought brand new missions to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run with a brand new mission featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu.
This new mission will now explore a brand new location! After departing from Batuu and visiting Tatooine, the flight crew can choose to visit Bespin, Endor, or Coruscant.
Disney Imagineers share that, along with a new mission, they also looked at the individual roles for guests on this attraction. Their mission was to create clearer roles, provide onboard feedback, and help each guest feel that they are part of the overall mission.
Smugglers Run Pre-Show
To "further enhance the game playing," the Engineer will be the most coveted role because it will be the Engineer to select the crew's destination.
Many Guests love these changes, and now there is another addition that helps to create the immersive experience. Now Guests will experience the full pre-show experience for this attraction.
The doors now open as Guests enter the pre-show room. This adds to the dramatic effect as Hondo Ohnoaka greets Guests. This effect was part of the attraction when it first opened in 2019, but this has been non-operational for several years.
Disney Animatronics
During the pre-show, Hondo Ohnaka gives Guests some helpful tips to complete their mission. This animatronic is one of Disney's A-1000 figures, which is among the most expressive and advanced figures.
The doors are now fully operational before entering the pre-show room at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
These advanced animatronics bring a new level of magic to the Disney Parks.
