Earlier this year, Disney announced that a live-action Moana remake is in the works. This is great news for all Moana fans, and now Disney announced a brand new Moana show coming soon.
New Show
Moana will soon debut a brand new Broadway-style production for guests aboard the Disney Treasure. Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, the Disney Treasure, will unlock the far-reaching realms of Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel and embrace dynamic tales from beloved Disney Parks attractions, through captivating and immersive experiences on the high seas.
Adventure will serve as the architectural and thematic foundation of the newest Disney Cruise Line ship, in honor of Walt Disney’s legendary passion for travel and exploration. This makes the Disney Treasure the perfect setting for the new “Disney The Tale of Moana” show.
The show will follow Moana as she embarks on an incredible journey to save her island after she is chosen by the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti. Fans of the original film will recognize many beloved characters like Gramma Tala, Maui, and Tamatoa when they appear on stage, as well as songs from the film’s iconic soundtrack.
The “Disney The Tale of Moana” show will debut in December 2024 aboard the Disney Treasure. Stay tuned, and we will share more details as they are announced!
