Today, Bob Iger shared exciting things coming to Disney Parks around the world at the 2023 Annual Meeting of Shareholders at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Moana at EPCOT
Anyone who has been to EPCOT recently has probably noticed there is a significant amount of construction going on to update EPCOT. Part of EPCOT’s reimagining includes a Moana-themed walk-through attraction called Journey of Water. This immersive exploration trail will be in the heart of EPCOT’s World Nature neighborhood.
It will serve as a huge feature in this area of the park dedicated to “understanding and preserving the beauty, awe, and balance of the natural world.”
The attraction will walk guests through the water cycle, specifically focusing on how water cycles from our skies to our oceans and back continuously. Along the way, guests will interact with story elements from Disney’s hit film Moana. They will experience the “playfulness of water” for themselves! Moana Coming to the Parks
This month, Moana is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom beginning as Disney celebrates Earth Day. Find out more about this and other Earth Day celebrations HERE.
In November, during Disney shared what may be happening in Dinoland’s “dead” park space. In what Josh D’Amaro explained as “blue sky” or something that is entirely new, there are two new lands coming. We’re really hoping that Zootopia is coming to Disney World!

New Way to See Moana
At the beginning of the meeting today, Dwyane Johnson shared incredible Moana news. From the beaches of Hawaii, Johnson shared that Disney will release a Moana live-action remake.
Disney will release a Moana live-action remake.
This live-action Moana film will be produced by Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia through their Seven Bucks Productions. Executive producers include Auli’i Cravalho, who voiced Moana. In addition, Jared Bush, 2016 screenplay writer, is involved in this new project.
