Many people consider Universal’s theme parks to be the most direct Disney Parks competitor. After all, they have parks relatively near both Walt Disney World in Florida, and Disneyland in California. And, these parks have upped their game recently.
For example, Harry Potter fans flock to see Hogwarts and Diagon Ally in Universal Orlando’s theme parks. Over in Universal Studios Hollywood, Super Mario Land recently debuted! A New Roller Coaster!
Now Universal Studios Hollywood is bringing movie fans a new themed roller coaster. Construction is beginning soon on a new Fast & Furious roller coaster!
Universal took to social media to alert fans to the news. The announcement comes on the heels of the release of Fast X, the 10th installment in the movie franchise.
This coaster will reportedly have cars that “drift” on the tracks using a state-of-the-art ride system. So far, there is no timeline for its opening, but we will keep you posted
Universal surely is investing a lot into bringing fans new experiences! Of course, sometimes that comes at the expense of what was there before. The new coaster will be going in where the previous Animal Actors/Special Effects Show stood.

I agree. The existing Universal Orlando party bus ride is pretty much the opposite of Fast & Furious. On the other hand, it sounds like you are "part of the family."

I agree if Disney isn’t careful with their choices, and the adding of more exciting attractions, especially with Epic Universe coming hopefully in 2025, I think they are going to close the gap even more on their competition.

Universal has to laughing at Disney’s lack of emphasis on “wokeness” rather than enhancing the customer experiences. Universal is kicking Disney’s butt in many ways.
