This week is a busy one at Walt Disney World, but now guests are being turned away with reports that this park is now at capacity.

This week will be a BIG one at Magic Kingdom. Previously, we shared that Park Reservations are unavailable for several days. This week brought back the beloved nighttime show, Happily Ever After, on Monday.

This past Tuesday also marked the official opening of TRON at the Magic Kingdom. This all comes after the conclusion of the 50th Anniversary celebrations at Walt Disney World last Friday. Many guests are still enjoying their spring break at Walt Disney World which brings higher crowds.

The price of Disney Genie+ hit the highest price point to date this week. Even with this high price, Disney Genie+ still sold out daily as the attraction lines continued to climb. Check out a look at the wait times this week HERE.

Park at Capacity

Today, April 8, guests report that Disney Parks are very crowded and the My Disney Experience app highlights the wait times for the parks. Guests hoping to enjoy a laid-back day over at Typhoon Lagoon were left disappointed.

One guest reported that she arrived at Typhoon Lagoon at the opening and the park was already quite busy. Later in the day, we heard reports that the park was at capacity. A park fully at capacity means that guests will be turned away from entering the park.

This does not happen often, but this does happen on occasion, particularly around Christmas and New Year’s. Typhoon Lagoon reopened from an extended refurbishment on March 19th. When this water park reopened, Walt Disney World’s other water park, Blizzard Beach, closed.

Today we heard reports that Typhoon Lagoon was at capacity with guests being turned away.

As a reminder, a park reservation is not needed for Typhoon Lagoon and unfortunately, guests did not know it was at capacity before arrival. The reported closure of Typhoon Lagoon would be disappointing to guests hoping to enter the park for the day.

That's the only problem with taking away the reservation system, you drive all the way to a park only to find out it is at full capacity and have to drive away, a wasted trip.
