We are right in the middle of spring break season at Disney World. Here is the sure fire way to know that crowds are at an all time high right now.

Behind Christmas/New Year and the week of Thanksgiving, Spring Break is typically a very busy season at Disney World. The months of March and April bring an influx of crowds and families visiting the parks during school breaks.

Genie+
Last fall we saw an incredible list of recent price increases, and one of the most unwelcome was when Genie+ moved from fixed to variable prices each day. Since its launch in 2021, Disney World’s Genie+ cost $15, and Disneyland’s version cost $20 per person (plus any applicable tax).
With date-based theme park ticket pricing and Disney’s announcement that Guests could no longer purchase Genie+ in advance, variable pricing came as little surprise. Disney saw a way to increase revenue during peak crowd levels on this service and capitalized on it.
Pricing for Genie+ can get up to $29/person/day during peak dates.
How to know it’s busy at Disney World
Yes, we can somewhat predict crowds based on Genie+ pricing. But even if pricing is on the higher end of the spectrum, there is actually something else that is more telling.
In fact, if Genie+ SELLS OUT for the day, then you know it’s really busy! We have seen this a handful of times in the last few months, which leads us to think Disney is placing more limits on the product than it did in the past.
Genie+ is sold out today, April 3. Not only that, but it also sold out shortly before 12:00 pm which is the earliest it has sold out EVER.
