Orlando Airport Issues a Warning for Today

Do not be alarmed if you see some strange things happening at the Orlando International Airport today. The airport has issued a warning, and here are the details.

It is no secret that Orlando International Airport (also known as MCO) has only gotten busier over the past few years. This year, it was named one of the 10 busiest airports in the United States.

And it makes total sense! With Disney World, Universal, Legoland, Sea World, and so many other theme parks and attractions, millions of people fly in and out of the airport every year.

MCO saw an increase in travelers last year. In 2024, 57,211,629 travelers passed through, while last year (2025) the airport saw 57,675,573 travelers.

Warning Issued

Do not be alarmed if you see some strange activity at the airport today, July 29. That is because the Orlando Airport is conducting testing that involves emergency equipment.

Every year, the FAA requires emergency exercise training, and the airport is conducting its own today. See their announcement below:

"Exercise Alert: Our Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) team will conduct an exercise tonight from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm. at the ARFF Training Facility."
