Extended Evening Hours
One perk that we are glad has stuck around are Extended Theme Park Hours for Deluxe Resort guests. On select nights, guests with a valid hotel reservation at a Disney World deluxe participating resort can stay in the park for two extra hours to experience select attractions.
This is a relatively new offering that might just be enough of an incentive to book a stay at a deluxe resort, whether direct through Disney or through the process of renting DVC points. To participate in these extended hours, guests must be booked to stay at a deluxe resort.
This is a great way to enjoy a little extra time in the parks with reduced crowds.
3rd Virtual Queue
Virtual Queues are offered for both TRON and Cosmic Rewind at 7:00 am and 1:00 pm. Guests can only join one of these times. For Extended Evening Hours, guests at participating resorts can join another virtual queue at 6:00 pm.
Previously when my daughter and myself (Donna) attended EPCOT’s Extended Evening Hours we were able to join the Virtual Queue for Cosmic Rewind earlier in the day and again at 6:00 pm for Extended Evening Hours. This was super easy and made for a great evening.
For both the soft opening and the official opening of TRON, the virtual queues filled within seconds. Many were hopeful that they may have a better chance during Extended Evening Hours.
Tonight marks the first Extended Evening Hours for Magic Kingdom since TRON officially opened. Eligible guests were surprised when at 6:00 pm the virtual queue filled again within seconds.
The parks are very busy this week with Disney Genie+ selling out for three consecutive days even after the highest price point to date. We hope that guests may have a better chance to join the TRON Virtual Queue after the crowds slow down.
