Disney’s 100th Anniversary
From humble beginnings as a cartoon studio in the 1920s to its name in the entertainment industry today, The Walt Disney Company proudly continues its legacy of creating world-class stories and experiences for every member of the family.
Disney 100 Years of Wonder will be the largest cross-company global celebration in the 100-year history of The Walt Disney Company. Disney Parks around the world will celebrate the 100th anniversary, with the heart of the celebration at Disneyland Resort.
To see one of the latest commercials for the celebration, take a look at this post HERE. The official celebration begins on January 27, 2023. Along with the beginning of the 100th celebration, also marks the grand opening of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland. Disney just shared more details regarding this attraction opening HERE.
Both theme parks, the Downtown Disney District and the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort will be adorned in beautiful, platinum-infused décor. Above is an artist’s concept of the elegant embellishments on Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure, which will sparkle with platinum banners and Disney100 medallions.
Also, around the resort, you’ll find platinum statues and medallions like the ones pictured in the concept art above. Disney also shared that MagicBand+ will interact and add more dazzle to select Disney100 décor later this year. These will most likely interact with MagicBand+ similar to the golden statues found at Walt Disney World resort.

What do you think of the medallions? They look pretty stunning and probably even more beautiful in person!
